James Michael Forrest is a British adventurer, hiker and author best known for climbing all 1,001 mountains across the UK and Ireland in the fastest known time.

ADVENTURES

James Forrest climbed 1,001 mountains across the UK and Ireland from 2017 to 2019 in a record-breaking and inspiring adventure. He walked over 5,000km, climbed the height of Everest 30 times and slept wild under the stars over 100 times. It was the adventure that led the Sunday Telegraph to nickname him the UK's "Mountain Man".

446 peaks in 6 months

In 2017 James climbed all 446 mountains in England and Wales - the  'Nuttalls' - in a record-setting 6 months...and he did it all on his days off from work

273 peaks in 8 weeks

In 2018 James climbed all 273 mountains in Ireland and Northern Ireland - the 'Vandeleur-Lynams' - in just 8 weeks, another peak-bagging record

In 2019 James completed his record-breaking 1,001-mountain challenge by climbing the gruelling 282 Munros in Scotland over 6 months
